VOSB Verification Guidelines Change

The Department of Veterans Affairs issued a final rule on July 12, 2017 relating to verification of ownership and control of veteran owned small businesses. This new rule contains a minor revision to the Veterans Benefits, Health Care, and Information Technology Act of 2006 to require re-certification of SDVOSB/VOSB status once every three years rather than biennially.

DIUx To Continue

The Department of Defense’s experimental innovation unit, DIUx, will continue under the Trump Administration. DIUx has offices in Silicon Valley and Boston and a hub in Austin. In the last three quarters, it has funded over $48M in agreements, most of which are with nontraditional defense contractors. Given this success and the global technological arms race, the Trump Administration chose to keep the program.
